Day 2: Kirkandrews on Eden to Irthington

 Hi everyone!

Day 2 was a ton of walking - about 21 km. It rained last night so the tracks were muddy and my hiking shoes got wet. I wanted to test them out, and they dried quickly. I won’t add a lot of text because I am tired. Lots of walking and slightly poor sleep last night (not jet lag, acid reflux from dinner coupled with percale sheets making me feel hot - I am fussy about sheet quality, lol 😂).

Here are some of the highlights today:

At this point on the walk, the Wall is under this mound of turf.

My B&B tonight, The Sally has an amazing gastropub. I had sea bass and sticky toffee pudding.

The food was outstanding. I wouldn’t travel here just for the food, because there isn’t much around. However, I am extremely grateful the tour company booked me here tonight.

Bed time! Have a great long weekend all…there is no Victoria Day in England. There is a bank holiday next Monday though. Things that make you go hmmm….😆
